Layer 3 VPN

Layer 3 Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) allow companies to extend the corporate network to the branch offices, global partners and to mobile users around the globe. The Internet VPN cuts by half the operational costs over traditional leased lines and by 300 percent over multi-access WAN technologies like Frame Relay. Not only they provide more security at a fraction of the cost, our VPN solutions provide unprecedented scalability and flexibility with a low initial investisment. We offer a large portfolio of services that accomodate today's most demanding needs, from standardized Intranet Virtual Private Networks to Extranet VPNs.

Our offering includes the following Layer 3 VPN technologies :

  • IP Security (IPsec) VPN
  • Dynamic Multipoint VPN (DMVPN)
  • Secure Socket Layer (SSL) VPN

All technologies listed above are suitable for both Intranet and Extranet solutions and provides an high level of security and data protection. We offer comprehensive, feature-rich services for all VPN types, see the features section for a side-by-side comparison of the available features.

Intranet Solutions

The Intranet VPN service is the key to a secure and fast communication between branch offices and mobile teleworkers. By virtually extending your corporate network, you optimize the way you work, collaborate and share information. Today's use of IP telephony and video conferencing allow to dramatically reduce expenses, however these emerging technologies are still largely underutilized if nobody make use of the flexbility they provide. Our VPN solution permit to get the most from your converged network, without additional costs. The Intranet VPN are available as permanant site-to-site VPN or as remote access VPN for mobile connectivity.

Extranet Solutions

The Extranet VPN provides the foundation to an efficient and secure communication between global partners. When you need to exchange data in a timely and secure manner without relying heavily on software applications, this VPN service is a solution of choice. You no longer have to ask your employees to individually find solutions with each partners ; you now have a common approach to the exchange of every piece of documents and files.

Featured Technology

IP Security, SSL VPN and DMVPN are three distincts technologies that characterize as many VPN types. The most popular type of Virtual Private Network in use today is the "IPsec VPN". IP Security or IPsec [RFC4301] is a standard security framework developped by the IETF in the mid '90s, for providing security services to traffic at the IP layer. The standard has since been improved several times due to its popularity and its wide spread use. The IPsec VPNs certainly constitute the most solid and mature VPN solution available at this time. The Dynamic Multipoint VPN (DMVPN) is a proprietary technology, developed by Cisco Systems. DMVPN use standard protocols like IP Security, NHRP [RFC2735], and GRE [RFC2784] to dynamically build VPN tunnels between spoke routers. This technology maximizes bandwidth utilisation, reduces overall delays and jitters; three fundamental factors affecting Voice over IP quality. In addition to the inherent benefits of this technology, we suggest the Cisco DMVPN solutions to businesses requiring multipoint, multiprotocol, secure communication, with a null or a limited number of static IP addresses available at the customer site. The Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology is used by millions of people every day for securing e-commerce transactions. This standardised and popular technology is now used to provide clientless VPN connectivities.

Layer 2 VPN

In addition to our standard Layer 3 VPN offering, we provide MPLS/VPN services with multiprotocol transport capability. This next-generation technology allows enterprises and service providers to transparently connect distant Ethernet LAN, Frame Relay, PPP and ATM networks across a unified MPLS backbone infrastructure.
